Notes from the campaign trail

Yesterday Villa Park and today we canvassed the Lombard train station. Good vibe from commuters. Funny thing - someone thought I was a Republican canvassing and did not want the lit until I told him I was a Democrat. Then he listened. It was not the first time this happened. The Women Left Out of Politics lit is resonating with people, too.

Here are the stats from Women Left Out of DuPage Politics: Of eighteen County Board members, three are women. Of the twelve current members of the Water Commission, none are women. Of the sixteen appointments by County Chair, only two were women. Of the seven members of Forest Preserve Board, only two are women. In total, six percent of the positions above are held by women, while 52% of voters in DuPage County are women!
